Information on Local Fish kills of the 2004 Season

As of August 2004, there are widespread fish kills occurring along the coast and Chesapeake Bay areas. The most widespread problem seems to involve adult croaker. Anglers all thru the mid and lower bay and coastal areas have reported the kills and strange behavior of croakers. Among the events are "zombie croaker", adult fish that float near the surface in a lethargic condition. The links below will explain the phenomenon.
