Recently I was invited to go tuna fishing as a guest on the Charterboat Topless out of Greenbackville, Virginia. We arrived before dawn and the the captain got us headed to sea in short order. The first hint of color in sky  was the beginning what was to be a great day of fishing.

We fished in 100 fathoms just below Washington Canyon. It was not long before Captain Perry found the fish and put my fishing partner on a nice yellowfin, his first tuna.

My wife boated a colorful yellowfin.

After a few smaller fish came on, the senior angler on board got into a nice yellowfin and boated it in short order.

Another lucky angler stepped up to get a nice dolphin.

I even caught a fish on this trip!

We had a very productive trip, finishing the day with 6 yellowfin tuna and one dolphinfish.

The captain is very knowledgeable and courteous. The equipment is state of the art and the boat is one of the most seaworthy available. Topless is certainly the premier charterboat that sails out of Chincoteague.
