The Bone Wreck
The Bone Wreck or USS Bone lies about 11 miles southeast of Chincoteague Inlet. The wreck is in about 75 feet of water. It is a steel vessel with heavy coral growth. The wreck is visited by divers, commercial fishermen and recreational anglers. The Bone wreck is best known for its black sea bass but anglers also catch tautog, triggerfish, bluefish, sharks, king mackerel, skipjack tuna, and dolphin at times. Divers also search for lobsters there.
