Mid Atlantic Bow Fishing
Bow fishing has become a popular sport in the Mid Atlantic region. A form of alternative fishing, bow fishing involves taking fish with bow and arrow. Equipment used for bow fishing ranges from primitive long bows to state of the art weapons that are equipped with line and reel.
In the Mid Atlantic states, bow fishing is practiced in both freshwater and saltwater. In most states, regulations limit the species of fish which may be taken by bow.
In saltwater areas, anglers take skates, rays, and other large prey by bow fishing.
