The Old Hannibal Target Ship
Near Smith Island Maryland
The wreckage of the Old Hannibal is located in the middle Chesapeake Bay. The hulk sits on the bottom in an area of shallow water northwest of Smith Island Maryland. Formerly used as a military target, the wreck is a now popular fishing spot.
Anglers fishing near the wreck catch a variety of species including, gray trout, croakers, spot, drum, striped bass, black sea bass, and other saltwater fish.
