Roanoke Rapids Lake

Overview

Roanoke Rapids Lake is one of a series of man-made impoundments along the mid-section of the Roanoke River. The lake receives water from Lake Gaston. After exiting Roanoke Rapids Lake, the lower Roanoke River runs freely to the Albemarle Sound.
