Hey Carl I am off the last week of July. We should at least do some floundering. Matbe we could buddy boat on some chunking or go together. I did not see any chunkers on Sat. I am going to try in Aug if not before. I heard thier are still BFT to the south of us??? Terp--I to hope to jig up a tuna one day. Last time I went chunking I kept a rod with a large jig on it in an alomost horizontal rod holder hoping the rocking of the boat would get some dumb tuna would bite it. I heard of guys hang jigs from the outrigger while chunking and getting bit?

I have heard the same but have not really tried it while chunkin as I can barely walk and chew gum. Having spent some time down in NC and even up here, sometimes u can mark them but they won't come up 4 a trolled bait. Down there jiggin was deadly. I think up here it comes down 2 pressure and thermoclines but thats only my .02 as I think the water way down there never gets warm (thus the reason chunkin/jiggin works). I'm installing a furuno 620 this weekend as my boat only has a cheap ole b&w garmin unit on it. Hopefully it will allow me 2 find marks/bait especially w/a bottom lock. Now if theres nothing 2 mark then its pointless.
