| Headed to Parking lot Friday morning, Started on Lot and as was dropping back WWWB fish took B/W Islander. Missed him but nice to have bite.. finally got all rods up and trolled...and trolled...and trolled somemore..caught one small mahi..decided to run down toward Lumpy ..now about 1:30..inside of lumpy .. WWWB goes off ...Tuna ...1.5 hours later 2 anglers fighting him and hook pops... (reader, you put in what we were saying)...he came close to spooling us 6 times...even as we tried to stay with him...ended up 4 miles from where we hooked up...He won... this time....good thing is we did nothing wrong ...all tackle was intact...Gonna say this one was not our fault ...we convinced ourselves that even if we had got him to boat we would have had to turn him loose (you know the over 59" rule) Decided to troll toward Chincoteague..ended up with 4 more nice Mahi couple pushing 20#'s last one was caught 18 miles from Chinco...Guess bite was on inside...Still a great day and enuf action to keep us happy !! |
