we fished out of ocean city today (tuesday july 27) got to baltimore aound 730 1st rod out was a rainbow spreader big dolphin took it before i let go of the rigger line. 10:30 all lines out and waiting, two tuna strike one is wearing my rainbow spreader for a lip ring, the other took a naked hoo on the long rigger and we fought for about 30 min and got one look at him. big fish either huge yellowfin or a bigeye but he broke 130 pound test as well . rigged back up and before i could get all the lines in two more go down a green spreader and another naked hoo on the flat, one spits the spreader early the other we almost get to boatside and he makes a final effort and throws the hook. but it was me and the old mans first trip offshore on our boat and although no tunnys in the box we had some action and came home with a mahi. thought i would share with you all, water was beatiful blue and maybe the calmest i have ever seen in the early afternoon we ran our seapro in at 35mph.
