lizardfish

The lizardfish is a small cylinderical-shaped fish with a lizard-like mouth. Lizardfish are tan with mottled flanks and white undersides. Lizardfish are sometimes caught in areas where flounder are common. They readily take baits or small lures. Lizardfish are rarely kept for the table but are occasionally used as cut bait for fishing or crabbing.
