Kiptopeke Fishing Pier is an good local pier to fish from. The pier is located in Kiptopeke State Park on the lower Eastern Shore of Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
The park also has areas for swimming, camping, hiking, boat launching, and other activities. Daytime fishing can be productive and at night, bait congregates under the lights, attracting fish in close. Fresh bait is available locally at Chris’s Tackle shop or other sources.
